Ripped Off

According to the promoters of Ozzfest, Rob Halford has rejoined Judas Priest. You may recall the split between singer and band once Halford owned up to being gay. Because the bondage gear wasn't totally obvious.

Anyway, if you've seen Rock Star, you sorta know the rest of the story. The band found this guy named Ripper Owens, who fronted a Judas Priest tribute band, and they went out on the road. Maybe even recorded a record, I don't know. Looks like metal fans are only homophobic up until the point where it has a tangible effect on their favorite bands, as the obvious guess is that audiences didn't go for the new guy.

Ozzy's back on the festival as well, so I'm guessing the prognosis for his recovery from that ATV accident is good.
