Norah Jones has announced her U.S. tour dates. Now I know she's really popular, and has stormed the AAA market unlike anyone since, well, John Mayer, but these venues are just going to suck.
Mayer's in a lot of the same rooms (yes, I know, many of them are outdoors and not "rooms" per se, but work with me here) this summer as well, but he's got a bigger sound that can likely not suck quite as bad. Although the transition to that bigger sound may be what doomed Heavier Things to it's relative blandness. Anyway, Jones' success is predicated on the intimacy of her sound, isn't it? How the heck is that going to work in a 20,000-capacity ampitheater? If you happen to go, feel free to report back.
