Just for shits and grins, I want to show you how my brain works with regard to adding songs to the Coz Sings! set.
I've been having many, many water problems lately. This led me to Iron Maiden's Powerslave album on Rhapsody when I got to work today, specifically "Rime of the Ancient Mariner." Which got me all nostalgic about my brief heavy metal phase, circa 1984-5. I borrowed and taped Powerslave from a classmate named Marty, whose last name escapes me right now. I do recall more or less where he lived, though. Two streets over and one street up, away from Mountain Avenue.
Anyway, the other big metal albums for me at the time were Dio's The Last In Line and Screaming For Vengeance from Judas Priest, which I'm listening to right now. I'm reminded of how freakin' cool of a song "Electic Eye" is, and that it just might work on an acoustic guitar. Tonight or tomorrow I'll grab it from the RealPlayer Store, or from iTunes if I think I'm serious about buying a DVD recorder to supplement the new TiVo-to-go, and get to work arranging it.
So there you go. Next Tuesday might see an attempt, we'll see.
