If They Mated

So I've been hearing this song from Blue Merle on WXRT quite a bit lately, and up until a week ago or so, every single time it came on, I'd think to myself "oh, this must be the new Coldplay," followed quickly by "no, wait a minute, it's the new Dave Matthews Band."

Seriously, it's weird how these guys have so perfectly split that difference, and given the massive popularity of both those bands, you would think superstardom can't be too far behind. Except that people may not realize that Blue Merle isn't Coldplay or Dave Matthews, and subsequently won't buy their records or go to their shows.

In other "if they mated" news, the new Nine Inch Nails single, "The Hand That Feeds," sounds like what you get if you cross Nine Inch Nails with something that really, really sucks.
