Oddball Imagery

So, this part of the site seems to be the DeRo-watch this week. In an interview with Yoshimi Yokota of the Boredoms, conducted through a translator with the expected amusing, broken-English results, we get this tidbit about how things worked on the Lollapalooza tour:

"We played sports every day backstage. We played baseball games with the P-Funk All-Stars. We played basketball with A Tribe Called Quest. We played Ping-Pong with monks from Tibet. We were playing very hard."

There's something inherently hilarious about a Japanese noise-rock band playing baseball with George Clinton, isn't there? I only wish there were pictures, but I don't know if they would live up to the mental images.
