Everybody's A Critic

I've been a fan of Sound Opinions for a long time, but since I started doing the Vaughan's open jam a couple of years ago, I stopped being able to listen to it.

On that basis alone, I'm happy about Jim and Greg's decision to move the show over to WBEZ, where they'll be going nationwide and, more importantly, podcasting. This will make for great commuter listening once I actually replace my iPod, which is how I used to listen to the show when I would record it "old school" -- does anyone even remember cassette tapes anymore?

I feel a little sorry for the denizens of the show's online message boards, though, because starting in December, they're going to see a whole bunch of newbies show up, and I know what that can be like.
