The End of the Year Meta-List

Okay, I'm not typically one to come up with year-end lists of my favorite releases, mostly because I never seem to consume enough new music in the space of a year to do so with any sense of authority. While Rhapsody is helping change that, I still rely on others for that annual big picture.

Since everybody and their brother puts together those kinds of lists, I figured I'd try to cut through that clutter and point to the best year-end music wrap-up I've seen so far, coming from the completely unsurprising quarters of the Onion AV Club folks. It's not hipper-than-thou in the least, and the multitude of voices gives a certain group-bloggish perspective where you can sort of triangulate where each writer is coming from and what it means when a record shows up under several different bylines.
