The True Believer Sessions, Day Five

The MySpace thing is going to take a little while, because I accidentally set it up as a regular profile, and it'll take a couple of days to cancel out the account and free up the e-mail address I created for it. In the meantime, take a listen and let me know what you think.

Today was, as I sort of expected, more of a housekeeping day, going through all the poorly-named snippets of ideas I've recorded to my computer over the last, I don't know, two or three years. There's one thing called "This Is For Andrea," and I haven't the foggiest idea where that came from. Although I have a vague recollection of having a nice conversation at a bar that may have boosted my self-esteem or something like that. It showed some promise.

More importantly, I've had this one tune that was definitely going to get recorded on the strength of this killer chorus that borrows liberally from Filter's "Where Do We Go From Here." The only problem was that the verse was really weak. What made today's low-impact tasks entirely worthwhile was that I found a verse from another tune that I can totally cannibalize for the first song. I also had some lyrics show themselves while driving home from the gym today that are consistent with the whole "true believer" motif, so we'll see where those lead me.

Things may go dark for a couple of days as I rejoin my daily grind, but the weekend should bring more activity. And more documentation of that activity.
