Anticlimactic

Okay, so Matt crashed and burned. We still like him anyway.

I have a hunch that the "rockers" had to pick their safety songs pretty far in advance, possibly even before the first show, so that that band could learn them. So the Duran Duran choice might have seemed like a good idea initially, but in the face of the criticism he received, ended up as the kiss of death. You could tell from the looks on the band's faces immediately. On the other hand, the Switchfoot song saved Phil, despite the fact that he sounded horrible singing it.

At this point, I'm not sure if I'll keep watching. The talent pool is much, much shallower than it was for INXS, which could make it much less compelling television.

BTW, what did you think of the "new" version of Roxanne?

SUCKED! Heck, I don't like when *we* mess with it.
