One Born Every Minute

So I finally had occasion to check out Peeping Tom -- Mike Patton's latest project. I like it a lot, much more than Lovage, which many reviews compared it to. Then again, most rock critics hear something vaguely electronic and lump it in with all other things vaguely electronic, which is why the "electronica" genre never really amounted to anything.

Every single review I read of this album made a huge deal over Norah Jones' potty-mouthed contribution to "Sucker," and being a Mike Patton record (and having heard that Lovage record), I expected some serious dirty talk. Turns out she just says "motherfucker" a couple of times. While it's still kinda sexy the way she says it, I expected a lot more given how much attention was drawn to her participation.
