Death, Taxes and Page Hamilton

I've got Monochrome, the new release from Helmet, cued up in Rhapsody today, and say what you want about the band, but you always know what you're going to get. More or less, anyway, as I think it's the title track that actually veered away from purely bone-crushing guitar riffage to something slightly more melodic. But again, that's speaking relatively.

With two albums from the band since Hamilton reformed it, plus Henry Rollins reconvening the "classic" Rollins Band lineup for at least a tour and hopefully an album, it's a good summer for seriously heavy rock with, um, "distinctive" singers.
