Those Who Forget Online Music History

It wasn't quite the watermarking mentioned in this Wired article, but I know eMusic had some sort of technology that would sniff out its tracks on Napster. I wasn't involved in that side of the business, so I don't know how successful it was -- I don't recall any negative press that would have inevitably come up had we gone after anyone who posted tracks, so we probably didn't pursue it.

Anyway, more proof that eMusic was way ahead of its time, I guess.
