Now We're Getting Somewhere

Amazon has opened it's DRM-free MP3 store. With several other major labels unhappy with iTunes and it's insistence on a uniform pricing model, it will very, very interesting to see if they will consider Amazon a viable alternative, given those labels' intransigence on unprotected formats in the past.

Coolfer gives it a spin, while Freakonomics hosts a quorum on the future of the industry in general.
