So I've been TiVo-ing shows like London Live on MOJO, and now Live From Abbey Road on Sundance, and just saw this band The Feeling on the latter. I feel like it's been a while since I've been this impressed on a first exposure to a band. They've got sort of a cross between Snow Patrol and Coldplay on the one side, and maybe Fountains of Wayne on the other. Really catchy, and really competent. Me like.
The Gnarls Barkley segment made me think I need to finally go out and pick up the entire St. Elsewhere record, too. Maybe I'm just in a receptive mood right now, as some of the tunes from the second Killers record are sounding good, too, but to be fair, this version of "When We Were Young" is much more subdued than the album version, to the point where I may try to either find or make an MP3 out of it.
I also managed to catch the same-day broadcast of Foo Fighters on Fuse the other night, which was good, since I couldn't find decent tickets for their show in Chicago this week.
