The First Chapter

Those of you who have been putting up with random comments about how I'm going to write a book about digital music may already know this, but if that book ever happens, yesterday marked the anniversary of the event that will open the narrative. I think the real impetus for starting this project will be if I can ever find any quotes from record company executives claiming the price of a CD would drop to that of vinyl within ten years, because that's really when the whole digital music train gets rolling.
