A "Lollapalooza-sized Hole"?

Pitchfork discusses Coldplay's announced summer tour and starts speculating that the band might play Chicago's Lollapalooza this summer:

Worth noting: There seems to be a Lollapalooza-sized hole somewhere in that schedule, and Lolla is going to have to pull out something big to compete with all these other summer festivals.

As it happens, Lolla is already scheduled for August 7-9 this summer, and while there is an open date on August 8th, I'm not sure if that really qualifies as "a Lollapalooza-sized hole." And why the "somewhere" qualifier? It's not like the dates of Lolla are some state secret. Pitchfork may be right, or course, and if they are, it would likely mean that Mercury Prize-winners Elbow would play in Grant Park as well, which would make me very happy.
