Above The Din

I've always said that, while years and years of loud music may have done damage to my "absolute threshold" of hearing -- the difference between hearing no sound and sound -- my "discrimination threshold" seemed pretty good. That's the ability to hear one sound among a bunch of other sounds. Now there's proof that it's not just me.
