This was originally supposed to be an Eno soundtrack, but apparently the movie was never completed. The existing material was then given to Jah Wobble, who has recorded with Bill Laswell on Axiom Records, among others. The result is the type of atmospheric sound that you might expect from these two artists, with plenty of keyboard textures and ethnic percussion. It, like the Passengers album, manages to straddle this line between active and passive music. It is engaging if you pay attention to it, but at the same time, it's subtle enough to be background music, albeit good background music. In English, that means you can read to it without being distracted. Comparing it head to head with the Passengers, I'd say that this is better. It's a purer atmospheric sound, whatever that means. There are some songs that have this certain kind of chugging motion to them, which I like in this sort of music.
