Episode 3X14
Original Air Date: 2 February 1996
Written by: Howard Gordon
Directed by: Kim Manners

This has got to be one of the scariest episodes of the X-Files to date. Mulder is called into an investigation of a serial killer by his mentor at the FBI academy. They apprehend a man who seems obsessed with gargoyles, and while the proof is overwhelming against him, he claims that he was not himself at the time of the crimes. Meanwhile, while he is in custody, the murders continue. As he was taught, Mulder tries to get inside the head of the new killer, only it may not be a place that he wants to go.
