Rolling Off The Tongue

I get this feeling that print journalists just like putting the phrase "New York Pancyprian-Freedoms" in their articles. Maybe because it's an obvious one up on braodcasters, who I would imagine have a hard time pronouncing it. That or the Fire media relations department has suddenly adopted the GOP's style of carpet-bombing talking points on the media.

I'm pretty sure every single Open Cup article this week in Chicago, both pre- and post-match, mentioned the aforementioned squad, as the last team to repeat as USOC champions. I may try to find links later, but don't hold your breath.

I may also post pictures of Kelly Gray and Kyle Farnsworth to prove the point of my last column on the Fire website. In either a great show of confidence or glaring oversight, they've actually got me linked off the front page of MLSNET, right up there with Tino and Hard C.
