Okay, there's been perennial "debate" among Fire fans and the team's front office about the use of profanity by the organized supporters at matches. At one point during the Naperville years, former GM Peter Wilt noted that Section 8's unified shouting of "You Suck, Asshole" at opposing goalkeepers had become the most frequent complaint he would hear from patrons, supplanting "when are you going to bring in a Mexican player" for top honors.
While I certainly understand some of the concern, I've never really bought into the "my God, think of the children" act, typically because the Fire get singled out when they're far from the most egregious example of bad things small children might here. To that point, I'm watching the Bulls matinee against the Miami Heat today, and one of the songs they're playing in a time out is "Do You Want To" from Franz Ferdinand, which includes the line "your famous friend, well I blew him before you, oh yeah."
I'm just saying that, unless you keep your kids in a protective bubble -- and I've seen recent news stories suggesting that this is sort of happening to an extent -- kids may hear and see bad things, and "you suck, asshole" is probably pretty tame by comparison.
