I'll put aside the bigger issues around Red Bull's entry into MLS, except to say that I agree with Not Doug Logan, for the most part. It's good for the league, although there's a danger of the product not living up to the much more intense marketing.
Anyway, that's not the point. The point is that I think the home uniforms would have looked much, much cooler if they were blue and silver vertical stripes. Like the Red Bull can.
That's still my overarching comment about things that, on some level, seem crass or commercial, or overtly Euro, or whatever. There's a sniff test. DC United works as a name. FC Dallas does not, despite their similarities. Making your team look like a soft drink can might seem ridiculous, unless it looks cool.
