I Have The Touch

I'm not exactly sure when this happened, but since I started playing outdoor soccer this spring, I've suddenly found myself possessing skills I don't think I had before.

On the one hand (foot?) it's kind of strange to suddenly have a good first touch and the ability to corral a long bomb from your goalkeeper and turn upfield with it. On the other, when you consider how much I play, it had to happen eventually. When you put in a lot of work, eventually things just sort of click. It's really just a point along a gradual process.

Which doesn't make it less strange, though. A few weeks ago I even had a cutback move. Bizarre. A little more work here and there, and maybe I won't miss a sitter when I'm in all alone on the goalkeeper that could tie the match.
