WC2006: Lay Of The Land

FAN FEST FRANKFURT (4:50pm local time) -- While I'm not discounting the wisdom of spending my last two nights in a hotel, the part about a hotel near the airport is just a little bit of a challenge. Yes, the hotel has "airport" in its name, but it doesn't seem all that close, and it's technically not even in Frankfurt, it's in Walldorf. I guess it's the equivalent of staying in Rosemont or something. Plus, it's a good 15 or 20 minute walk to the S-Bahn, unless I want to spend time figuring out the buses.

On the plus side, they have a shuttle to the flughafen, so I won't have to hump my bags on a train Wednesday morning. I'm still looking into actually checking them on Tuesday night.

Anyway, it might have been better to not book these last two nights until I was over here and had a better idea of how things actually worked, but I'll deal.
