Opening Weekend Notes: Los Angeles at Houston

  • There would have been a weird symmetry had Nate Jaqua AND Logan Pause scored in the fourth minute of their first matches of the season.
  • Crap. No Paul Daglish. That's going to hurt my fantasy team.
  • Wow. This match is being played at a totally different speed than nearly all the others I've watched over the weekend, but it's also warm in Houston.
  • No beef on the Cochrane red card. Findley had him beat, and you could only make the "he wasn't the last defender" argument once you concede that Cochrane held him up.
  • Of course, this hurts my fantasy team, as no sooner does Daglish come in, he comes out for a defender to adjust to the red. Although I may have predicted a draw.
