As I mentioned yesterday, Houston is apparently looking to deal Brian Mullan. Dallas may be looking to unload an unhappy Kenny Cooper, with sources telling me the nature of his discontent had nothing to do with the now-departed Carlos Ruiz. Now it looks like MLS is finally making L.A. at least pretend to conform to the salary cap, which would sacrifice Chris Albright for a Generation Adidas draftee that doesn't count against the cap.
I'm not sure if Albright has played exclusively in the back line lately, or if he might also be an option to finally find a true right-sided midfielder, but I think any of these guys would be a good fit in Chicago. Of course, John Guppy still has only traded for an actual player once in his entire tenure as President of the club (Will John to KC for Diego Gutierrez), so I'm not optimistic any of these deals might happen.
If you're wondering, my emerging draft strategy is to address the right wing and forward problems via trade, and draft a goalkeeper.
