Several sources are reporting that an "American consortium" has bought Derby County, currently the worst team in the English Premiership. Meanwhile, Hank Steinbrenner is making noise about investing in English soccer, voicing his regret over not buying a stake in Tottenham Hotspur when he had a chance. And all this in the heels of the backlash against Liverpool's American owners in the last couple of weeks.
I sort of doubt this will change Benny Feilhaber's imminent exit from the club, but it would be funny if it did. Depending on your definition of "funny."
