Where Have I Heard This Before?

Luis Arroyave says of goalkeeper draftee Dominic Cervi, who just made Peter Nowak's Olympic qualifying roster:

The 6-6 goalkeeper has yet to officialy sign with the Fire, but the team is confident a deal will be reached.

This is the team that was "confident" that Nate Jaqua would go to Europe last year at the expansion draft, that Juan Carlos Osorio would fulfill his contract with the team, and that Matt Pickens, who Cervi is ostensibly competing to replace, would sign with the team after his contract expired. And I think I'm forgetting a few.

Will this be the exception that proves the rule?
