Luis writes about Wilman Conde's continuing frustration, while other writers come up with trade scenarios.
Ives' blue-sky idea of Conde for Razov would only make sense if other deals happen in Chicago that unload some other forwards. The most likely candidate would be Chad Barrett, as he's got value and might be the easiest to replace even without the addition of Razov. Calen Carr could probably go as well, but won't be the cornerstone of any sort of deal given his lack of playing time. San Jose and Houston are both in dire need of offensive firepower, so I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of these players might get moved even if Razov weren't to make a triumphant return to Chicago.
Who might we want in return for Barrett and/or Carr? The most pressing need is actually cover at the flank midfielder positions. Justin Mapp and John Thorrington are doing their jobs now, but if either of them stumble, we don't have much in the way of replacements. Chris Rolfe on the right and Diego Gutierrez or Brian Plotkin on the left aren't the best options at those positions.
Steve Davis at ESPN says Conde should go to L.A., but admits they don't really have any assets to trade back, so it would have to be cash considerations and a whole bunch of draft picks.
