Luis turns it over to the fans for a Q&A with Brian McBride, which yields this totally serious gem:
This is a sincere question. I travel quite a bit and might be getting some metal placed in my knee for an operation. How is it getting through airport security? Does your head set off the detectors? I never knew until I saw that x-ray picture in the Tribune piece. Welcome back to Chicago. Enjoying the weather? - AbeLuckily the titanium screws in my face aren’t thick enough to cause any problems going through the X-ray even on the most secure of days. I hope that the metal in your knee won’t cause any problems. I have run into some people that have stopped me to show the piece of paper that they present to the airport security authorizing them to pass because of metal plates, most the time it is a metal plate in their heads. Good luck, and I hope that your knee doesn’t slow down your travels. As far as the weather, I wish we were there to enjoy the bad weather! We have been on the road for a long time and I miss my family.
