By Any Other Name

So, with Fox diverted by baseball, I get a month to watch programs on Sunday nights that aren't The Simpsons and Malcolm in the Middle. This time around, that has meant a brief reintroduction to Alias, which I watched for the first season, but not last year, when it was up against the brilliant-but-cancelled-anyway Andy Richter Controls the Universe.

Which means I'm more than a little confused. Let me try to get this straight. Sidney somehow lost two years of her life working undercover, and can't remember what she did, and in the meantime, Sidney's mom, Will, and Francie skipped town and/or this mortal coil, Agent Vaughan married a hottie from the NSC with a British accent, Dixon took over the CIA office, and Sloane was granted immunity? And they're now working against some new shadowy organization called The Covenant?

I guess I should know better than to get mired in the plot of this show. It's all about the action sequences and the eye candy. Always has been. Sid gets into and out of crazy predicaments with revealing costumes, gadgets and lots of gunfire, explosions and near-death experiences, all whilst trying to have meaningful relationships. Repeat ad nauseum. Jake 2.0 is so much cooler.
