Okay, the WB announced the cancellation of Angel shortly after previews for the following week's episode featured the brooding vampire being turned into a Muppet. Anyone see a connection here?
The puppet episode was, I have to say, very X-Files-esque. Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing. I've always been fond of shows that don't take themselves all that seriously, so it's probably good. And not entirely a throwaway, but I've noticed a lot of shows bury important threads, if you'll pardon the pun in this instance, in the sillier episodes. The Gunn subplot seems worth paying close attention to, seeing as how it's the first evidence we've gotten of the impermanence of the deals made with the "senior partners."
