Tony Soprano returns tonight. Vic Mackie follows on Tuesday. Two of television's most conflicted and morally dubious "heroes" back after long layoffs. I'm having a hard time remembering what the heck transpired last season on The Sopranos, being one of the few who doesn't buy or rent back episodes on a regular basis. The Shield is a different story, as FX has been running the last season in it's normal time slot for months now, even if I missed out on the home stretch this week, when I'm assuming it was on every night.
Anyway, the VCR will be humming a bit more starting this week.
Elsewhere, Angel is making Willow out of Fred, although it would be much more interesting if the initial "diagnosis," that there's nothing of her left to save. The dynamic is certainly changed, with both Fred and Eve mostly out of the picture, at least on the Wolfram and Hart side, leaving Harmony as the only break in the boys' club. I'm not totally sold on the direction yet, although I liked that Knox wound up being a bad guy, because I didn't see that one coming.
And the bastards at Star Trek: Enterprise have gone and hooked me right when they move the show up against the aforementioned Angel. I think they might rebroadcast the new episodes on the weekend, otherwise I'll have to go to the hard drive for that one. I'm debating getting a second cable box for my 'puter and it's tuner card, which will give me a little more flexibility in viewing, as if I really need it.
Oh, and why the bloody hell is Oliver Beene back on the air while Andy Richter isn't? The mind boggles.
