I swear to God, Daniel Dae Kim is following me. After stints on both Angel and 24, now he's turned up (billed as Daniel Day Kim) on The Shield. At the very least, he -- or his agent -- has good taste. Or my taste.
Apparently it's unclear whether Kim's Agent Baker role, most recently seen letting Steven Saunders get away on Tony Almeida's orders, will return on 24. But the big news this week, after the season finale, is that Tony, Michelle, Chase (thank god) and probably Kim (even better) will not be returning as "regular" characters. I don't think they'll be gone outright, unless it ended up as an acrimonious split, just that they'll be under the "also starring" umbrella.
Tying together both the name thing and the real-time drama, did you know this isn't the first time Mr. Show alum Mary Lynn Rajskub has played a character named Chloe? Apparently she was on the short-lived Kirstie Alley vehicle Veronica's Closet, and I say apparently because if I had ever watched the show, I sure as hell wouldn't fess up to it.
And I watched a lot of TV tonight, so I think I must have imagined Star Trek: Enterprise's Captain Archer ending up in Nazi Germany. Surely, they wouldn't do something that hackneyed as a season-ending cliffhanger, right? Right?
