The Master At Work

The big story, such as it is, would have to be Bill Clinton appearing on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night.

It was a darned good interview, seeing as how the former president is a darn good interviewee. There was one point where Clinton was talking about something at great length for this kind of format, and you could imagine the camera going back to Stewart with a thought balloon over his head reading "holy crap, I'm interviewing Bill Clinton!"

The most impressive thing, though, for me, was how the interview ended. I'd say 3 out of every 4 hyper-political guests try to make some appeal to the Comedy Central demographic with regard to getting out and voting. 4 out of 4 of those guests come off as patronizing, with former NotAbbott.com favorite Democratic candidate Wesley Clark being the worst of the bunch. Clinton didn't. He absolutely nailed the point without begging or scolding, and given how badly every other politico does with that, that's no small accomplishment.
