Okay, so I just found this site, and the scheduled releases for 2005 so far do not seem to include Duckman. They only go through June, though, so maybe the Klasky-Csupo news I mentioned previously is still accurate.
Overall, I have a hard time figuring that it's a lack of demand that has held this up for so long, especially when you look at some of the shows that do get released.
Could the problem be Gail Zappa? This Wired article is what hipped me to that other site. It talks about how music licensing is a big problem with DVD releases, particularly for music-heavy shows like WKRP in Cincinatti. Duckman, of course, used a fair amount of the Frank Zappa catalog in its first season, and his wife has been pretty strict when it comes to the fate of that catalog, having sued EMusic over rights several years ago and only releasing a handful of CDs from his massive tape vault since he passed away.
It's only speculation, but that could be part of the problem. Although the news that the release is forthcoming may mean it's been resolved. If anyone has any more recent info, feel free to post it in the comments.
