Okay, I'm late in posting this, but in the last new episode of The Family Guy, "Sibling Rivalry," Stewie and Bertram have a massive aerial battle between stealth fighters and helicopters. How funny would it have been if, instead of the dramatic, sweeping soundtrack, they had used the sparse taiko drums so prevalent in Battlestar Galactica?
Granted, not everyone would get the reference, but at this point, I'm not sure they care about that.
