Where In The Word?

Colbert Report, I feel like I hardly know you anymore. First, bears slip off the Threatdown for what seems like a full month. Then you go on vacation and return without a word. Or, rather, without "The Word." Not only that, over at the Colbert Nation, I see no mention of this glaring omission. Is bullet point guy having trouble getting back in the country or something?

Also not mentioned over on the Nation is some backstory on why Ric Ocasek would want to put Todd Rundgren "on notice." I love it when shows do things like that with no explanation whatsoever. At least I do when I'm in on the joke. This summer, there's a tour from a group calling itself the "New Cars," comprised of former Cars members Elliot Easton and Greg Hawkes and singer/songwriter Todd Rundgren, playing the catalog of the 80s new wave band. I'm guessing Ocasek isn't too pleased about this turn of events.
