Preach It, Brother Andy

Some guy I've never heard of at the Sun-Times points out how much better TiVo is than the cable company DVR. I'll go so far as to add that I've actually stopped watching some TV shows I like (South Park and Stargate SG-1 spring to mind) because my Comcast DVR can't tell the difference between a first-run episode and a rerun.

I'll be getting the TiVo HD box in a couple of weeks. If I can manage to get three CableCARDs out of Comcast, I can put two in the box and one in the TV and record two shows while watching a third. Not that I'll ever need to, but it's nice to know that I could.
