Out-Bauering Jack Bauer

Not quite sure what to make of the waterboarding scene on Prison Break on Monday night. I don't think it was a political statement, really, more of a "Gretchen is a badass" statement, with the whole "you've done this before" line. Since it's on Fox, though, I'm sure the conspiracy theorists will be out in force, and the show will make its way onto Olbermann's "Worst Persons in the World" at some point this week. I haven't seen any sort of uproar, but I may not be tuned into the right places, although Technorati only has two mentions this week.

Then again, I'm not sure what to make of the entire episode, as I don't exactly remember what the hell was going on before they took their last, um, Prison Break break.

On a slightly related note, I did actually check the release date for Make Yourself from Incubus, which is what John Connor was listening to on his bed in 1999 in the pilot episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. It came out in October of that year, and that particular scene, I think, was in November.
