Should Have Known [Lost Spoilers]

Jeremy Bentham, according to Wikipedia, was best know for his opposition to natural rights. Which prominent Western philosopher was on the other side of that debate? John Locke, of course.

I'm not a big enough geek to have Googled it during the finale. To be honest, I thought Ben was going to be in the coffin in some sort of weird time-traveling paradox.
